CBSE announced class Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) results on 6 March 2012. The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi conducted the test for recruitment of Teachers for classes I to VIII January 2012.

The results are declared only for the written test held only on 29 January 2012. CBSE will conduct Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2012) on 5 May 2012 in state of Chandigarh, Manipur, Punjab, and Uttarakhand. The exam in these states was postponed on account of General Election for Legislative Assemblies as advised by the Election Commission of India.
The minimum qualification to take this exam was Senior Secondary and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education/ BEd at Primary level and Graduation and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education/ BEd at Elementary level.
- The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the results of the Central Teachers' Eligibility Test for candidates who took the exam in January.
- A total of 55,422 candidates have qualified and the results are available on www.cbse.nic.in,www.ctet.nic.in,www.cbseresults.nic.in, nsd.ndml.in/NAD/,www.ndml.inandwww.nad.co.in
- The tests were conducted at 1,144 centres across 72 cities in the country and in two cities abroad.
- The exams in Punjab, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand and Manipur have been postponed due to the Assembly elections. They will be held on May 5.
